Privacy

This notice is written to comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). The personal information collected on this site is the responsibility of Maplewood Tools Inc., 200 Bay Street, Suite 3800, Toronto, ON M5J 2J1, Canada.

What Gets Collected

  • Your calculator answers are never sent to us. Only your browser (local storage) holds your answers, and nothing else does. You can erase them through the settings your browser offers or by choosing "Start again".
  • Sending the profile review form shares your name, your email, where you live, and your note. Your score comes with it, plus a short summary of your answers.
  • If you phone our number: the phone number you call from, when the call happened and how long it ran, plus the call itself. A recording may be made of it.
  • Standard server logs (address, page, time, browser) are kept by our hosting provider to run and protect the site.

No cookies are used, and there is no advertising or outside analytics.

Who Gets Your Details and Why

We use a review request or a call only to connect you with one immigration consultant who can talk through your profile or email you about it. We use call recordings to make sure your details are correct, and nobody else receives them. We do not sell anything you send, and marketing emails are never sent by us. The site and its data are hosted in Canada by Amazon Web Services.

Retention

We keep a review request or call record only as long as we need it to pass it along and get an answer for you. After that, we delete it, and we delete it earlier whenever you ask.

How to See, Fix or Remove Your Information

You can request a copy of what you sent, or you can have it corrected or erased, or you can take back your consent. Our privacy officer accepts letters at the address above. You can also resend the profile review form with the same email, adding "privacy" to the note. Callers may do the same and include the number they called from. Complaints can also go to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
